Bosch cameras meet the demanding requirements of ITS applications

Need clear information about what is happening on roadways? Bosch moving cameras provide reliable performance in tough roadside conditions.

MIC Series cameras feature an IP68/NEMA 6P-rated housing to ensure complete protection against dust and water ingress without the need for pressurization—providing a higher level of protection and reduced maintenance costs over time. With a flat window, long-life silicone wiper and optional washer system, you can capture images that are free from distortion in dry and wet conditions. The cameras can withstand 130 mile per hour sustained winds and gusts up to 180 miles per hour, as well as shock up to 20g and vibration up to 2g. They are compliant with the National Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP).

The NTCIP is an open, non-proprietary, standard that establishes communication rules for how ITS devices can perform, connect, and exchange data to ensure interoperability. The use of the NTCIP standard provides transportation agencies with the confidence that the MIC Series 550 cameras will integrate with traffic management devices.

Bosch will also soon release a new model of the AUTODOME 7000 HD camera which will support NTCIP. This camera delivers 1080p resolution at 30 images per second (IPS) and 20x zoom or a high-speed 720p resolution at 60 IPS for capturing fine details of fast-moving objects in traffic surveillance applications. It also features a Sodium Vapor White Balance mode to automatically compensate for street or tunnel lamps, restoring images of objects to their original color. AUTODOME 7000 cameras have an extended operating temperature range of -40° to +131° Fahrenheit, and an aluminum housing that is rated to IP66 and NEMA4X for uncompromised functionality even in harsh roadside conditions.
