Firmware 5.80 Now Available

Firmware 5.80 is an exciting new release for the Common Product Platform 4 (CPP4) that brings a number of enhanced features for our fixed and moving cameras and more.

Benefits for Fixed Cameras

For all of our DINION and FLEXIDOME HD cameras, the NDC-274 and NDC-284 cameras, and our soon-to-be-released IP 2000 and IP 5000 camera families, it adds the ability to:

  • Switch camera profile/user modes based on a contact input or schedule
  • Choose a 4:3 crop mode with a resolution of 1280x960 for the first stream
  • Select continuous analog output for specific modes

With this release, our IP 2000 and IP 5000 cameras also add intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (iDNR). This advanced technology reduces bandwidth consumption and storage costs, while maintaining high quality and detailed images. Read more about iDNR.

Benefits for Moving Cameras

For our new AUTODOME 7000 family of PTZ domes, it adds features to make the cameras even more easy and convenient to use. This includes the ability to:

  • Select a preset position from a drop-down list on the live webpage
  • Pre-configure camera profile/user modes
  • Click a button on the live webpage to direct the camera to show or find home or to focus the camera

It also adds enhancements for the advanced Intelligent Tracking feature available in this new AUTODOME family. With Intelligent Tracking, you’ll now be able to:

  • Mask off problem areas to increase tracking accuracy and effectiveness
  • Alarm or enable recording when tracking is started
  • Alert for IVA events in 16 different scenes
  • Enable IVA behind privacy masks

And, there’s more!

Other feature enhancements for all CPP4 devices include a timeout parameter for IVA Face Detection, larger camera name stamping, support for a secondary DNS server and the ability to view the cloud connection status from the system overview page.
